GCSE Bitesize Irish History
BBC NI Learning has recently launched its first Bitesize Revision site for GCSE students. Bitesize Irish History provides revision material for the exam area of "Changing Relationships; Britain, Ireland and Northern Ireland 1965-1985". A timeline provides key historical dates from the period from 1962 to 1985 putting events in context.

The site also includes an interative quiz called History Makers: this gives the students mini biographies of 21 political figures from the period and through a "Who Am I?" game allows them to match faces to names and events. This site covers key themes such as the Civil Rights movement, Terence O'Neill, the role of the British Army, the suspension of Stormont power-sharing and the Anglo-Irish Agreement.
